RAYSolute Compass

A screening-grade strategic model you build from your own numbers: not a connected live digital twin, not a substitute for a commissioned feasibility study.

What RAYSolute Compass is, and is not

RAYSolute Compass is a screening-grade strategic model you build from your own numbers. It is not a connected live digital twin, not an Internet of Things (IoT) platform, and not a substitute for a commissioned feasibility study.

A dated snapshot you control

You enter your institution's numbers today, run the model, and get a direction-of-travel read for that snapshot. Nothing updates on its own; re-run it whenever your numbers change.

Four strategy levers you can test

A fee change, a capacity expansion, a board or programme change, and a market-entry move, each checked against RAYSolute's own screening heuristics, one at a time or together.

Not a live digital twin

This tool does not connect to your student information system, your finance system, or any sensor or Internet of Things (IoT) feed. It computes once, on the numbers you type in, entirely in your browser.

Not a bankable Detailed Project Report (DPR)

Every figure here is a practice estimate built from arithmetic on your own inputs, not an audited projection, and RAYSolute Compass never promises a board affiliation outcome.

Not for an institution that has not opened yet

RAYSolute Compass is built for an institution already operating and enrolling students. If you have no year founded and no students enrolled, use RAYSolute's School Feasibility Calculator instead, it is built for exactly that greenfield decision.

How RAYSolute Compass works

Four steps, all in your browser

Everything below runs on your own device. Nothing is sent to RAYSolute unless you choose to send it.

1

Enter your Twin State

Your institution's own numbers: board, city tier, capacity, enrolment, facilities, fees, staffing and compliance status. Nothing is looked up for you.

2

Turn on a lever

Test a fee change, a capacity expansion, a board or programme change, or a market-entry move, one at a time or together.

3

Get your verdict

A Go, Conditional Go or No-Go direction, naming the single binding constraint driving that read, with a score bar across four checks.

4

Review the ten-year panel

A decision-relevant projection, two to three stress flags, and one next action, ready to print or email to yourself.

Where these numbers come from

How RAYSolute Compass calculates your numbers

Every threshold below is disclosed so you can judge it for yourself.

  • Land, density, built-up-area and fee-band thresholds reuse RAYSolute's own screening benchmarks from our School Feasibility Calculator, reviewed as of August 2026: RAYSolute's own internal heuristic built from our school feasibility advisory work, not a published board norm or regulatory standard.
  • The four sub-scores (Capacity & Land Fit, Fee & Market Positioning, Regulatory & Compliance Readiness, Financial Resilience) and the Go / Conditional Go / No-Go thresholds are RAYSolute Compass's own scoring framework, calibrated from our advisory experience, not a regulatory or lender standard.
  • The ten-year panel models fee growth at 8% per year and cost escalation at 6% per year, the same assumptions RAYSolute's School Feasibility Calculator discloses and uses.
  • If you leave the optional revenue, operating expenditure or surplus fields blank, this tool derives a baseline from your enrolment, blended fee, Student-Teacher Ratio (STR), and the teacher-cost and other-opex estimates you provide. If you fill those optional fields in, your own figures are used instead.
  • Lever 4's five-year mini Profit and Loss (P&L) statement holds its fee and other-opex figures flat across the five years shown, the same simplifying approach RAYSolute's Feasibility Prep Workbook uses in its own sandbox.
Where this tool stops

What a full RAYSolute engagement adds

RAYSolute Compass is a self-service screening tool you run in your browser. A commissioned RAYSolute engagement adds the following.

Verified competitive intelligence

Primary research into the specific competitors in your catchment, not the count and self-assessed fee position you entered above.

A staffing and compliance audit

Independent verification of your qualified-teacher share, Student-Teacher Ratio (STR), and affiliation status, beyond the self-reported inputs this tool runs on.

A defended financial model

A model built to withstand scrutiny from a lender, an investor, or your board, with sourced assumptions and a sensitivity analysis beyond the practice estimates and stress flags shown here.

A written strategy memo

A recommendation you can act on and put in front of your board, carrying RAYSolute's name, not a self-generated screening result.

Request a Scoped Engagement

Share a few details and RAYSolute will follow up with a scope and fee estimate for your institution.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions before using RAYSolute Compass

Answers below match the FAQPage schema embedded on this page so AI assistants can surface them directly.

Is RAYSolute Compass a live digital twin?

No. RAYSolute Compass is a dated, parameterised model you build from your own numbers, run once at a time in your browser. It is not a connected live digital twin or an Internet of Things (IoT) platform, and it does not update itself as your institution's numbers change. Re-enter and re-run it whenever you want a fresh read.

Does this replace a commissioned feasibility study?

No. RAYSolute Compass is a screening-grade tool for an institution that is already operating. It reflects your own inputs back through RAYSolute's own screening heuristics, it does not do primary research on your specific catchment, does not verify the numbers you enter, and does not produce a bankable Detailed Project Report (DPR). For a defended, lender- or board-ready case, a commissioned RAYSolute feasibility study is the appropriate next step.

Does this use AI?

No. RAYSolute Compass runs entirely in your browser using arithmetic and a rules-based scoring framework, not an AI or machine learning system of any kind.

What if my institution has not opened yet?

RAYSolute Compass is built for an institution that is already open and enrolling students. If you have no year founded and no students enrolled yet, use RAYSolute's School Feasibility Calculator instead, it is built for exactly that greenfield decision.

How is my data handled?

Everything you enter stays in your own browser's local storage on your own device, so your inputs are there the next time you open this page on the same browser. Nothing is sent to RAYSolute unless you choose to use the "Email Me This Result" option, which sends a summary of your inputs and verdict to RAYSolute so we can follow up.

Why doesn't this ask about NAAC or NIRF status?

RAYSolute Compass version 1 covers K-12 schools only. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) are higher-education constructs and are not applicable to a K-12 school, so this version does not ask for them. A higher-education version is a later phase, not part of this build.
