EOI to Application phase (Gate: built and operational)
Expression of Interest, IBO regional consultant assignment, initial school self-study, application package. For PYP/MYP, the school must be built and operational before Candidacy is awarded.
Candidacy phase (Gate: one full academic year)
Candidate school status, readiness work paced to the school's own timeline, PYP / MYP / DP framework adoption, faculty training launch, at least one full academic year of trial implementation before the Verification Visit.
Authorization phase (Gate: verification visit)
Verification Visit preparation, the Verification Visit itself, response to the verification report, and the Authorisation decision.
Coordinator and DP head hiring
When to hire (well ahead of the Candidacy application), where to find IB-qualified coordinators, salary benchmarks (₹15-25 LPA in India).
Faculty training calendar
IB Workshop Category 1, 2, 3 sequencing. Per-teacher cost (USD 800-1,500 per workshop). Total training budget.
Authorization budget tracker
Application fee, candidacy annual fee, workshop costs, verification visit costs, and IBO programme fees Year 1+. IB's own fees are billed in SGD by IB Asia Pacific and are not publicly listed; confirm current amounts directly before budgeting.
