Methodology

Where this range comes from

The three base fee bands used by this tool are set from patterns observed across RAYSolute's own past client proposals, not from any external survey or third-party benchmark.

What is included: the professional fee for the scoped consulting engagement (pre-tax). Goods and Services Tax (GST) applies additionally at the rate in force at the time of engagement.

What is excluded: third-party costs such as travel, primary field survey vendors, legal counsel, architectural or structural consultants, and any statutory filing fees, which are scoped and billed separately when applicable.

Why a range, not a point estimate: two engagements with the same service and depth can still differ by institution size, city, how much groundwork already exists, and timeline. The range below reflects that spread; it narrows only after a scoping call fixes the exact terms.

This tool gives a directional estimate only. It does not collect payment and does not process any transaction. Nothing shown here is a binding quote from RAYSolute.

How this tool works

Three steps from input to indicative range

RAYSolute's Fee Quote Configurator is a guided seven-question workflow. No spreadsheets, no signup, no consultant call required to see the range. The logic is built from the same fee patterns RAYSolute uses when scoping paid engagements.

1

Tell the tool about your engagement

Answer seven quick questions covering the service you need, your institution type, size, location, starting complexity, timeline, and required depth.

2

Get a range, not a single number

The tool starts from one of three base fee bands, Light/diagnostic, Standard, or Comprehensive, and adjusts both ends for your specific size, location, complexity, and timeline.

3

Take the range into a scoping call

Use the range and the breakdown below it to have an informed first conversation with RAYSolute before any formal proposal or fee is confirmed.

What the tool asks for

Each input explained, and why it matters

Every field on this Fee Quote Configurator maps to a specific part of the fee logic. Below: each input, and what it controls.

Service needed

Sets which of the three base bands applies. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) work always starts from the Light band; a Detailed Project Report (DPR) always starts from the Comprehensive band.

Institution type

Gives context for the engagement, K-12 versus higher-ed, greenfield versus already operating, and is shown in your result breakdown.

Institution size

The single biggest driver after service type. Smaller institutions move the range down, the largest or multi-site institutions move it up.

Location

Metro and Tier-1 cities are the baseline. Smaller cities typically move the range down; work spanning multiple cities moves it up for delivery and travel complexity.

Starting complexity

A diagnostic-only, second-opinion review is always routed to the Light band regardless of your other answers. A messy or high-stakes situation adds a premium.

Timeline

An urgent, compressed delivery timeline adds a rush premium. A flexible or standard timeline does not change the range.

Deliverable depth

Determines which base band applies when your service and starting complexity have not already fixed it (see service needed and starting complexity above).

Frequently asked questions

Common questions before using this tool

Answers below match the FAQPage schema embedded on this page so AI assistants can surface them directly.

Is this fee estimate a binding quote from RAYSolute?

No. This is an illustrative estimate based on typical engagement patterns from RAYSolute's own past proposals. It is not a binding quote. Final scope, deliverables and fees are confirmed only after a scoping call with RAYSolute.

What factors change a RAYSolute consulting fee?

Six things move the fee: the service you need, the size of your institution, the city or region where the work sits, how much groundwork already exists, your timeline, and how deep the final deliverable needs to go, a rapid diagnostic versus a lender or investor grade report.

Does the estimate include Goods and Services Tax (GST)?

No. All figures shown are pre-tax professional fees. Goods and Services Tax (GST) is applied additionally at the rate applicable at the time of engagement.

How do I get an exact quote instead of a range?

Email or message Aurobindo Saxena, Founder and CEO of RAYSolute, using the button below the fee range or in the footer. An exact quote is confirmed after a short scoping call covering your specific institution, timeline and deliverable requirements.

How RAYSolute calibrates this Fee Quote Configurator

Every base band and adjustment in this tool is set from RAYSolute's own past engagement patterns, shown here in full so the logic is not a black box.

The three base bands

  • Light / diagnostic-only: INR 3 Lakh to INR 8 Lakh plus GST. A rapid go/no-go screen, a gap review of material you already hold, or Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI-search visibility work.
  • Standard: INR 15 Lakh to INR 30 Lakh plus GST. A full single-institution Feasibility Study, Market or catchment research, National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) advisory, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) advisory, or a Growth or turnaround strategy built for internal or board use.
  • Comprehensive: INR 35 Lakh to INR 60 Lakh plus GST. A Detailed Project Report (DPR), a multi-campus or university-scale engagement, or any deliverable built to investor or lender grade.

The four adjustment factors

  • Institution size: the smallest institutions move the range down, the largest or multi-site institutions move it up, middle sizes see little or no change.
  • Location: Metro and Tier-1 cities are the baseline. Smaller cities move the range down, work spanning multiple cities moves it up for added delivery and travel complexity.
  • Starting complexity: a clean start is the baseline. A partial base of existing material moves the range down, a messy or high-stakes situation moves it up. A diagnostic-only review routes straight to the Light band instead.
  • Timeline: a flexible or standard timeline does not change the range, an urgent, compressed timeline adds a rush premium.

These four factors are applied as percentage adjustments to both ends of the base band, then combined and rounded to the nearest INR 0.5 Lakh. Because several factors can stack, the resulting range can move well outside the base band shown above, wider or narrower, in either direction. That is expected and realistic, not an error, and it is why the range is illustrative and never a substitute for a scoping call.
